Larging it in Peckham, London

Press play.

A perfect sunny morning on the London streets of SE15, the latest Rainbow Warrior piece got pasted-up. This was and had to be done in record timing, as the scaffolding was booked for only four hours: 8am - 12pm. I’m not even sure I was awake by the time it was all over.

But the sun was shining and everything fell into place - so I was happy. We even manage to film this piece going up, which you can click the image above to enjoy.

This piece is the second from the Rainbow Warriors series, called cleverly ‘Rainbow Warrior 2’. So, who is the new Warrior? Her name is Urtema Dolphin and is a renowned counsellor, meditation teacher and shamanic practitioner. She is a member of the International Advisory Board of the Bosnian Pyramids, a site of global significance both historically and spiritually, and is an initiated 'Water Bearer', frequently collecting water from sacred sites, holy wells and magical places all over the planet to use in Ceremony.

Last year Urtema was guided to hold a ceremony and water Blessing in Trafalgar Square, in support of 'Standing Rock' which was attended by hundreds of people. She then went on to join thousands of Water Protectors, braving extreme blizzards with the intention of stopping the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline. Urtema devotes her life to the protection of the planet, its inhabitants and the sacred waters through ceremonies and the spiritual healing arts. Her love and commitment to raising awareness of indigenous wisdom overarches her work and her life. This is why Urtema is a Rainbow Warrior.
